Diwan Accommodation Reviews

Reflections of Port Douglas:
Spacious Retreat...... - The apartments were tucked away at the end of the main road and within walking distance to pubs and shops and were a stones throw away from the beach. They were extremely spacious, clean and the kitchen was well equipped with all you needed. The ground floor apartments with their own courtyard was fantastic. Carmel was exceptionally helpful, she accomodated our request for 2 ground floor apartments next to each other, and shared her abundant local information. The pool more accessable from the apartments would have been good, however due to design of the building a more central location would not be possible. The weather was not very good, so it would have been nice to have sunny days. There are alot of things to do, but I have put average due the cost involved in doing anything in the Port Douglas area.

Oaks Calypso Plaza:
Wonderful Hotel - We stay at the Oak Calypso Plaza because it has nice apartments close to shops and beaches. The kids love the pool, we have been here twice before and keep on coming back, started with us and another family and each time we come back we bring more people with us. In 2011 there where 5 families (15 of us) so we have recommended to others. Like the 2 bedroom apartment where kids have there own room tv balcony etc makes kids feel all grown up. Alway have a great time at Oaks.

Carrington Court:
my favourite Gold Coast hotel - Location is perfect. Un-obstructed views of the Pacific including whale watching. Walking distance to Tedder, Marina Mirage, and Surfers. Reasonable off-season rates.

Artique Resort:
Wonderful Unit - The unit was very clean, had everything in the kitchen I needed, was very quiet.

Condor Ocean View Apartments:
A old friend - Familiarity - we have been visiting Condor for 35 years. We really like the indoor pool, and the proximity to Surfers Paradise.
