Redcliffe Festival of Sails
This colourful, seaside carnival runs in conjunction with the annual Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and boasts over a hundred specialty market and gourmet food stalls. Winding along Suttons Beach you’ll find live music, roving entertainment, artists demonstrating, beach games and activities, fun workshops (many free), camel, pony and amusement rides for the kids.
Don’t miss the Cadbury Easter egg hunt on the beach or the visit from our parachuting Easter Bunny who arrives at approximately 11am. Enjoy live stage entertainment with an Easter pantomime, children’s show and some rock ‘n’ roll ‘n’ reggae with the Memphis Moovers in the morning and a FretFest Singer Songwriter Showcase, Celtic Fusion, and rock/country band Halfway, soon to be touring the UK, in the afternoon. Watch the creation of a giant sand sculpture and join in one of the workshops which include sand sculpting, kite making, Arty Brella painting, African drumming, Paint a boat Float a Boat and the Great LEGO Building Challenge.
Free parking is available at Redcliffe Showgrounds (Scarborough Rd, Redcliffe) with free shuttle service running every 15mins, from the Showgrounds to Marine Parade festival site between 8.30am and 5pm.
Entry to the festival is free. Many activities are free. There is a cost for rides.
