The annual Royal Queensland Show, better known as The Ekka, is an agricultural show of Brisbane, Queensland that attracts visitors from all over the country. The first show was held in 1876 and attracted 17,000 visitors and these numbers have now swelled to over 600,000 attendees in recent years.
With excitement, fun, show bags, animal parades, education, wood chopping competitions, equestrian events, agricultural displays, fashion parades and the most thrilling and action packed rides, the Royal Queensland Show provides everything to keep you thoroughly entertained.
For the past 130 years, the Royal Queensland Show has been about where the city meets the country and not a lot has changed, with over 10,000 animals including dogs, cats, fish, alpacas and cattle included in the Ekka.
