Just west of Tullamarine lies the Organ Pipes National Park. This park is famous for a number of interesting geological features, including the Organ Pipes - an extraordinary pattern of pipe-like rock columns formed over millions of years. There's a picnic area and a variety of walking tracks to explore. If you're lucky, you might spot kangaroos, swamp wallabies, echidnas or other native fauna.

Spread over 800 hectares, Woodlands Historic Park offers a fascinating combination of history and nature. Expolre 19th century ruins and the original 1840s Woodlands Homestead, whose grounds contain some of the oldest recorded garden plants in Victoria. The surrounding nature reserve features various Aboriginal sites and assorted wildlife, including kangaroos, bandicoots, eagles and echidnas. Follow one of the easy walking, cycling or horse riding tracks, picnic among the River Red Gum trees, or climb Gellibrand Hill to see magnificent granite boulders and panoramic views.

Tullamarine is perfectly placed for visiting Melbourne's central business district or outlying regions. Hop on a train into the cosmopolitan centre to experience world class shopping, dining, entertainment and sporting events. Or hire a car and explore the mineral springs and artisan workshops of the Spa Country, taste your way through the Sunbury Wine Region, or discover the charming towns and wonderful scenery of the Macedon Ranges.
