Visit North Ryde
The third oldest settlement in Australia, North Ryde is now one of the country's leading commercial districts. With a vibrant university precinct, tranquil parklands and close proximity to Sydney's CBD, it's an ideal base for both business and leisure visitors.
Its large corporate offices, thriving retail developments and diverse population give North Ryde a dynamic energy. Shops, cafes and restaurants are dotted throughout the region, particularly on Coxs and Blenheim Roads. North Ryde's various national parks and reserves provide tranquil escapes from the hustle and bustle. The Field of Mars Reserve, though quite small, is home to around 300 plant species, as well as ringtail possums and assorted birdlife. Go bushwalking or mountain biking through Lane Cove National Park, and explore Aboriginal rock shelters and carvings. Or head down to Lane Cove River for a spot of swimming, fishing or boating.
