It is no surprise Hamilton Island is one of Australia’s top tourist destinations. Not only is it geographically breathtaking but the average year round temperature is a balmy 27 degrees.

Located off the coast of Queensland and on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is one of the 74 islands which make up the Whitsunday group.

Take a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach, grab some friends and sail a yacht through the Whitsundays, play a round of golf on one of Australia’s premier courses, and uncover the secrets of the deep when snorkelling the reef.  

Visitors may even choose to soak up the serenity, relax poolside and do nothing at all.

The Marina Village and resort centre feature fantastic shopping and speciality stores.

The island has its own airport – just 5 minutes from the resorts - that handles direct domestic flights daily, international chartered flights and local helicopters, planes and seaplanes.

Visitors can also arrive at Hamilton Island Marina by ferry from Shute Harbour (30 minute trip). There are also berths available for those sailing their own yacht.
