This private and luxurious island is located above the Tropic of Capricorn, about 72 kilometres off the Queensland coast. The neighbouring island is Heron Island which is just 15 kilometres away. Guests are able to get to this paradise with ease, either via boat or helicopter.

In order for guests to fully appreciate the beauty of the area, this small coral cay has been left mainly untouched. Stylishly designed tent accommodation offers space for up to 12 visitors at one time on Wilson Island, while modern everyday facilities are provided for comfortable living. The central dining area utilises natural materials all the while maintaining a chic and deluxe travel experience.

Equipment is provided for those who wish to take advantage of the world class Barrier Reef snorkelling opportunities directly off the beach. Abundant with natural wildlife, Wilson Island is also the ideal place for some birdwatching, or admiring the Green and Loggerhead turtles laying their eggs. If you are lucky enough to come in the right season, you may even catch the baby hatchlings emerging from the sand.

Similar to the climate of the surrounding islands, Wilson Island boasts a majority of sunny days with warm weather and clear skies year round. The average temperature is approximately 27 degrees Celsius (80 degrees Fahrenheit), with humid days complimented by pleasant sea breezes.

Guests should be aware that Wilson Island does not cater for children under the age of 12. The island is also closed during February as this is the peak month of bird nesting season.
