Services for People with a Disability
In Australia the vast majority of public transport, shopping centres, accommodation, attractions and restaurants have disabled facilities available. Throughout the city there are a variety of services available specifically to support people with physical and/or other challenges.
It is recommended that advance advice be given to accommodation providers and local operators about special needs requirements, to ensure the best possible assistance.
Can Access is a directory that provides a wealth of information about services for people with disabilities, and the Citizens advice Bureau can be reached on 02 6248 7988 or online at www.citizensadvice.org.au for further information.
