Darwin Beaches

Darwin’s celebrated Mindil Beach is the site of the Thursday night markets, Casino, and Mindil Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
A popular swimming beach, the 500 metre long strip backs onto the Mindil beach reserve and has excellent day facilities including toilets, picnic and shaded areas, and sealed car parking.

Vesteys is situated on the northern side of Bullocky Point, and is comprised of 2.2 kilometres of beach frontage.
Home to several boating and sailing clubs, it is a well-known beach with basic facilities including toilets, car parking, and a boat ramp.
Note: It is important to check that conditions are safe before swimming as at certain times of the year sharks, box jellyfish, and crocodiles may inhabit the waters.

Mandorah is a great spot to throw out a line. A popular fishing beach, visitors can access the beach via the Darwin Harbour Ferry which is a short 15 minute ride.
