Australian Aviation Heritage Centre
Aviation & Heritage Museum

The Australian Aviation Heritage Centre is situated 15 minutes from the Darwin CBD and features a collection of aviation related exhibits and memorabilia. The centre has been designed to preserve Australia’s aviation heritage and promote tourism in the region.

Considered one of Australia’s top aviation museums, the centre houses an impressive collection of aircraft including the B-52 Bomber – one of only two in the world outside the United States. View these magnificent machines, and browse the collection of photographs and documents that depict some of Australia’s aviation chapters.

Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory
Museum and Art Gallery NT

The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory is situated in Fannie Bay, 8 minutes from the Darwin City Centre.

Learn about the history of the Northern Territory by viewing the museums range of exhibits and collections on display. Originally located in the CBD, the museum was moved after Cyclone Tracy and now houses around 30,000 items.

East Point Military Museum & Reserve
East Point Military Museum & Reserve

Watch the video of live footage shot of the Japanese bombing Darwin, and relax afterwards with a stroll through the surrounding East Point Reserve.

Originally home to a gun bunker installed to potentially defend Darwin Harbour, the reserve is now a relaxing place to watch the sea, enjoy a picnic, let the kids play out on the large grass area, and take a refreshing dip in the mad-made lake and Fannie Bay beach.
