Feel the thrill and hit the surf with Godfathers of the Ocean Surf School. Renowned and respected as one of the leading surf schools on the Gold Coast and in the world, surf lessons are provided to children and adults of all ages and levels. Lessons are focussed on providing surf safety awareness education, sun safety, surfing skills, fitness coaching and most importantly FUN!
Each lesson is run for 2 hours, and group lessons can be arranged for special occasions, school groups, children’s parties, and corporate team building events. All is equipment is supplied including wetsuits, wetshirts, softboards and legropes. Safety is the main priority of experienced coaches, who provide who stay in the water with surfers at all times.
Professional one-on-one coaching is available to help you perfect your technique. Former WCT surfer Michael 'Munga' Barry is respected around the world for his elite coaching abilities and surfing knowledge. Munga is the former contest director for the Billabong Pro in Jeffries Bay South Africa and the former National Coach for the Billabong Junior Surf Team Riders.

Surf lessons are held down at The Spit, an ideal and safe beach break located at the northern end of the Gold Coast located just 10 minutes from Surfers Paradise.
Under the guidance of your experienced instructors you won’t have to fight the crowds for one-on-one attention and will receive extensive individual help, advice and encouragement.
Each surf lesson has a maximum of 6 people, making the student-to-coach ratio the lowest of any surf school on the coast. Private lessons for 1-2 people are also available.

Veteran surfer Johnny Preston's mantra is that surfing is "one of life's many rewards which people of most ages can enjoy". The Gold Coast Surf Academy teaches surf skills to riders of all ages using a unique grading system, designed to assess each individual rider's competencies and increase their skills.
Offering group lessons or more specialised on-on-one classes, the Academy caters for people of all levels of ability. All aspects of surfing are covered including wave selection, safety, paddling and standing techniques, turning and dismounting.

Go Ride A Wave is one of the industry leaders, teaching more than 50,000 customers each year in various locations along Australia's magnificent east coast. Providing a safe and enjoyable experience, they are passionate about surfing and the protection of our diverse environment.
All surfing lessons include a full 2 hours of tuition suited to your skill level, and all of the necessary equipment is provided.
Special customised 'Go Girls' women's surfing classes are held regularly.
Other outdoor recreational activities such as bodyboarding and kayaking are also available, and all equipment is available for hire or purchase.
