Shopping at Maroochydore, Courtesy of Tourism Queensland

The Sunshine Coast offers a choice of thriving shopping destinations with major amenities such as supermarkets, department stores, banks, and a wide variety of specialty stores. Larger centres offer a variety of grocery retailers, clothing and footwear shops, electrical and entertainment stores, and banking and service facilities, and many have undercover parking and public transport nearby. For visitors with children, most centres now offer family friendly facilities such as parents' rooms, complimentary use of strollers and push carts, and child minding.

The Sunshine Coast's largest shopping centre, Sunshine Plaza at Maroochydore boasts more than 100 specialty stores including Myer, Kmart and Target, as well as shopping outlets Dot Com Surf and Byrning Spears, Table Eight Factory Outlet, Perfume Connection and Sheep Skin and Opal World. Choose from specialty retailers boasting designer fashion, swimwear, surf wear, hand-blown glassware, jewellery, Asian imports, art, homewares and much more.

Many coastal and hinterland towns, such as Noosa, Mooloolaba and Montville, have their own local shopping districts with the convenience of smaller supermarkets and boutiques offering locally made gifts and souvenirs, jewellery and clothing.
