Cassowary Coast Beaches
>> Relax on the beautiful beaches of the Cassowary Coast
From south to north:

Mission Beach
Mission Beach is the ultimate pristine beach, with crystal clear water, stunning tropical rainforest, and golden sand stretching for 14km. The area is inhabited by the largest cassowary populations in the world, so you might be lucky and see some of these endangered animals. You are also likely to watch some courageous skydivers landing triumphantly on the beach.
Here, you can enjoy a safe swim as the water is calm. The waves are small thanks to the presence of Dunk Island off shore.

Kurrimine Beach
Enjoy a beach still largely unknown to travellers and tourists. Kurrimine is a very laidback place, perfect for those wishing to hide away from the rush of city life. The sand stretches for kilometres and the coastline is a popular place for local fishermen. Swimming and boating are only possible at high tides as a large reef (King Reef) spreads out from the beach for more than 200 metres.
Etty Bay
Relax at beautiful Etty Bay. Here the tropical rainforest comes down to a beautiful beach, patrolled on weekends by surf lifesavers.
Bramston Beach
At Bramston the unspoilt beach stretches for kilometres and you can enjoy views of the coastline out to the Franklin Islands. Towering native trees and palm trees grow in profusion right to the edge of the beach.
IMPORTANT!
Beware of the stinger season in summer; you must swim strictly inside the stinger nets.
Marine stinger-resistant swimming enclosures are located at Bramston, Etty Bay, Kurrimine and Mission Beaches.
