The Great Barrier Reef
Discover one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Here, thousands of marine plants and animal species stretch over 2,000 kilometres along the Queensland Coast to form the planet's largest reef system. As a result, the Great Barrier Reef can be seen from outer space.
Swim in the amazing muti-coloured kingdom of corals. This underwater botanical garden is also one of the most diverse ecosystems on earth and was selected as a World Heritage site in 1981. The experience is truly magical. You will be captivated by giant clams, anemones, starfish, turtles, eels, rays and an endless variety of fish. From the huge humphead maori wrasse to the tiny clownfish and vibrant parrot fish, you will love what you see wherever you look.
Cruising out across the Coral Sea to spend a day on the Great Barrier Reef or on a nearby island is a holiday highlight for every visitor.

Heaps of charter companies offer day cruises to the outer reef and coral islands. The range of reef tours available means there is a trip to suit everyone, whether you are a certified diver, novice diver, snorkeller or non-swimmer.
Keep your eyes open during the trip as you are likely to see dolphins jumping and playing near your boat!
