Where to eat?

If you are staying on an Island, it is more than likely that your resort will feature one or more restaurants and bars. On Hamilton Island, a number of restaurants participate in the 'kids eat for free' program. This means that children 14 years and under eat for free when dining with parents. (Please note in the evenings this offer is only available when dining prior to 7.30pm).
While the Islands cater for a relatively upper market, Airlie Beach offers a wider range of restaurants for every budget. Lots of take away, casual café or classier restaurants can be found along Shute Harbour Road and the Esplanade. Note that some eateries are open all night long.

Capers’ offers a beachfront Al Fresco dining with fresh seafood and steaks.

KC’s kicks off the evening with happy hour, followed by dinner between 6.00pm and 9.00pm, after which there’s live music every night. It’s lively, licensed and the menu’s mostly reef and beef.
