Queensland Accommodation

Queensland, Australia is the the Sunshine State where visitors from all over the world as well as Australia flock for some of the best surfing and other beach holiday activities in the world. Along with the sunny tropical coast, Queensland has tropical rainforests and Outback desert areas for a real taste of Australia. There is a wide variety of Queensland accommodation including resorts and hotels as well as apartments for every budget.

Queensland is divided in to several main regions

Brisbane   Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and is the third most visited city in Australia. It has important historical sites as well as many outdoor activities such as rock climbing at Kangaroo Point and bicycle trails. It is a vibrant city, famous for its nightlife and hotels.
Bundaberg   Bundaberg, just north of Brisbane, is the Southern Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. It is also a popular beach holiday destination with its golden sandy beaches and first-rate resorts.
Capricorn Coast   Capricorn Coast is on the Tropic of Capricorn and has five star resorts along its pristine beaches with snorkelling as well as historical towns and rainforest retreats.
Fraser Coast   Fraser Coast and Fraser Island are about 200 kms north of Brisbane. There is beautiful scenery with mangrove forests, rainforests sand dunes and is a very popular tourist destination. Hervey Bay on the mainland is an excellent place for whale watching.
Gladstone   Gladstone is 550 kms north of Brisbane situated between two rivers. There are fourteen islands in the area and visitors enjoy Boyne Island and Tannum Sands as well as Lane Awoonga. There are walking trails, fishing, camping and picnicking areas and other Queensland accommodation.
Gold Coast   Gold Coast is a city on the coast of Queensland and popular for its beaches, theme parks and restaurants. There is excellent Queensland accommodation available for visitors to this exciting part of Australia.
Mackay   Mackay is a city on the Pioneer River called the sugar capital of Australia. It is near the Great Barrier Reef, Eungella National Park and the Whitsunday Islands.
Outback Queensland   Outback Queensland includes the Currawinya National Park with Indigenous Australian sites of cultural significance. There are also wetland habitats. There is fishing, canoeing and camping in the park and other accommodation.
Southern Downs   Southern Downs are part of the Darling Downs which is an agricultural area with rolling hills and remnants from a bygone age of settlement. The Southern Downs are rocky with the Goomburra State Forest and other places for rugged outdoor activities.
Sunshine Coast   Sunshine Coast is just north of Brisbane and famous for Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo. There are more national parks in Sunshine Coast than anywhere else in Australia. It has excellent Queensland accommodation including resorts and apartments for golf and beach holidays.
Toowoomba   Toowoomba, The Garden City, is 127 kms west of Brisbane and has a significant historical heritage. There are apartments and hotels for visitors.

Queensland
  Tropical North Queensland is the area from Townsville north to Cape York. It includes the World Heritage Sites of the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics. The Whitsundays are islands off the coast of the tropical north and a popular yachting destination. Queensland accommodation including resorts, hotels and apartments is available for visitors.
