Built into the rainforest along with the main building and outside deck, the Cassowary Cafe is situated overlooking the main pool of this Tropical North Queensland resort.
This casual and relaxed cafe is open for buffet breakfasts and easy dinners, offering a range of pastas, gourmet pizzas, grilled steaks, fish and chicken as well as an extensive salad bar and a 'sides' selection.
Ferntree Rainforest Lodge has two bars, each by one of the resort's two pools. Cassowary Cafe Bar is just the right spot to enjoy a pre-dinner drink and the Daintree Bar offers a lively atmosphere with pool table, internet terminals and a juke box - a great place to relax with old friends or make new ones.
Those looking for a more intimate dining experience can head to the nearby The Cape Restaurant and Bar. This is at the Lodge's sister property (Cape Tribulation Resort) and therefore offers reciprocal room charge facilities.
