 Queensland Air Museum

 

If you have a nose for aviation then perhaps the Queensland Air Museum at Caloundra Airport will interest you. Since its early beginnings in 1974, they have been collating and focusing mainly on Australian and Queensland aviation historical elements.

 Kenilworth & District Historical Museum

 

This unique museum will take you right back to 1850 in Australian history.  Photographic evidence and working exhibitions of how life was in that particular era will amaze all. See what the school room, laundry and township looked like in the early settlement days. Kenilworth and District Historical Museum is open for viewing on Sundays only, and is just forty minutes drive from Noosa.

 Nambour & District Historical Museum

 

Walk through the kitchen and parlour room as it would have been in the 1900's and set your eyes on collected war items. Learn facts about the Nambour Sugar Mill history, the Nambour Hospital and 100 years worth of Scout history. Located in the heart of Nambour approximately 20 minutes inland from
Maroochydoore.

 Landsborough Museum

 

Approximately 20 minutes from Caloundra, take a walk down memory lane in the Landsborough Museum. They have a collection of early dental equipment, forms of communications and book press' for your viewing. Being one of the largest social history museums between Gympie and Brisbane, Landsborough Museum will impress!

 The Australian Narrow Gauge Railway Museum

 

Roughly an hour from Caloundra, railway enthusiasts are the heart of this country town museum. Specialising in Railway History, The Australian Narrow Gauge Railway Museum Society have been preserving the historical locomotives for the future generations to appreciate and enjoy. Every second Sunday they offer a steam train ride for a small admission, and picnic and barbecue facilities are available on-site.
